1. Who we are

This website is operated by Peters Industry Training & Consulting LLC, doing business as PITCO Engineering ("PITCO", "we", "us", or "our"), an industrial automation engineering firm organized under the laws of the State of West Virginia, United States, with a mailing address in Dayton, Tennessee. For privacy matters, PITCO is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. Our contact details are in the Contact us section.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to personal information we collect through quiz.pitcoengineering.com and related quiz pages, through the forms and communications on the site, and when you otherwise interact with us in connection with the website. It does not cover personal information governed by a separate agreement (for example, a signed engagement or services contract), or third-party websites we link to.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you submit an assessment registration or email us, we collect the information you provide. For the AI self-check, this includes your name, work email, company, role, annual revenue range, industry, operating location, quiz answers and any optional message you enter.

Information collected automatically

When you use the site, we and our analytics and advertising providers automatically collect technical and usage data such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and interactions with the site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies & tracking).

Information from third parties

We may receive limited information from our service providers (for example, our CRM and advertising partners) that helps us measure campaigns and understand how visitors find and use the site.

4. How we use information

AI starting-point self-check

The self-check calculates your suggested starting point in your browser. Before showing your free report, we collect your answers, business information and contact details through PITCO's server and HubSpot form. We use these to provide the report and may contact you about your AI needs. Registration does not request an engineering consultation or subscribe you to a newsletter. Our server temporarily keeps registration data while confirming delivery to HubSpot.

When advertising is enabled under your cookie choices, we measure page visits, quiz starts, completed quizzes and accepted report registrations. For accepted requests, the Conversions API can send Meta a hashed email address, permitted advertising cookie identifiers, browser information and IP address for matching and measurement. We do not include your quiz answers, company information or written explanation in these Meta event payloads. Advertising choices do not affect access to the report or registration form.

We use personal information to:

• respond to your inquiries and provide the information or services you request;
• operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website;
• measure and understand the performance of our content and marketing campaigns;
• communicate with you about our services where you have asked us to or where we are otherwise permitted to;
• comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We use this information for our own internal business purposes. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money.

5. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Consent — for non-essential cookies and analytics/advertising technologies, and for optional marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.
• Legitimate interests — to operate and secure the site, respond to inquiries, and understand site performance, balanced against your rights.

6. Cookies & tracking technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies that fall into a few categories:

• Strictly necessary — required for the site to function and to remember your cookie choices. These do not require consent.
• Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
• Marketing & forms — we use HubSpot to power the forms on this site and to manage the resulting contact records and communications.
• Advertising & measurement — we use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API, including server-side event sharing, to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. Where required, this is enabled only with your consent.

Where the law requires it (for example, in the EEA, UK, and for certain technologies in California), non-essential cookies are set only after you consent through our cookie banner, and you can change or withdraw your choices at any time through Cookie preferences. You can also control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.

7. How we share information

We share personal information only as described here:

• Service providers (processors) who act on our behalf and under contract — including HubSpot (CRM and forms), Google (analytics), Meta (advertising measurement), and our hosting and infrastructure providers.
• Legal and safety — when required to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights, users, or the public.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not disclose it to third parties for their own independent marketing.

8. International data transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA, the UK, or Canada, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum) or another lawful transfer mechanism.

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy — for example, to respond to your inquiry, provide your report, meet our legal and accounting obligations, or resolve disputes — after which we delete or anonymize it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money. Some advertising and analytics technologies described in Cookies & tracking may be considered "sharing" under the CPRA; you can opt out of these at any time through our cookie banner settings or by enabling a recognized Global Privacy Control signal in your browser. 13. Canada privacy notice (PIPEDA)

If you are in Canada, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it, and you may withdraw your consent to our use of it (subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice). 14. Children's privacy

Our website is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
